Reverie and the DSLR Revolution

In this AMAZING short film the director (Vincent Laforet) is using a new high tech camera called the HDDSLR. It is the first still image camera that also does HD filming. During this film there is no dialogue although the expressions and movements from the actors tell the story by itself.

The focus in this picture is on the couple in front of the shore. You see the background is full of scenery that is unfocused and the blur makes the lights look pretty.

The dominant color in this shot is probably the blue sky. The framing is very tight since the character is unable to move around. The Form for this shot would be closed since you know who the man is and you know where he is.

Music Video Critique

The storyline of the project is a guy that has a messy lifestyle meets up with a girl who has a very neat and clean lifestyle. The thing that they have in common is that the two have the same taste in music. Some challenges dealing with pre-production were location, acting, and directing. Since the team had no transportation besides our own legs its was difficult to have a variety of locations. Directing was a little off since the video did not come out as well as planned. On the other hand acting, wardrobe, and props were fine. The only problem that was kind of challenging was lighting, since most of the video was filmed outside. the way we fixed that was that we changed the angle of the camera.
