Solitude trailer
The Movie Solitude is a film about a group of teens who go out for a last night together before going off to college. They go to a small town, but are surprised to find the town deserted. It's just them, and an unexpected visitor. During the film there is great use of lighting to show emotion not only in characters but also in scenery.
The first thing you see is the car going down a deserted highway in the middle of nowhere. In this shot the lighting is great, the use of background is amazing.
First my eyes went to the girl's face because of the rule-of-thirds. Lighting is very low key, and similar to the lighting in the first shot, and the shining duct tape makes my eyes go there next. http://www.vimeo.com/4563600
